Weekend Recap
Happy Monday!
Today we are linking up with Biana for a weekending post.
This weekend started off with a bang because it's SPRING BREAK! You have no idea how much teachers need spring break. We count down more than the kids.

On Saturday this picture showed up on my Timehop. This year I stopped the nasty habit of biting my nails and they are so long now so I did the then and now and it's amazing.

I also tried to clean my clothes out and this came up on my Facebook and it can't be truer.

Then on Sunday we went hiking at Zion National Park. It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Vegas in Hurricane, Utah and it was gorgeous. Be prepared for many pictures.
When you get to the park you drive through a tiny, cute town with tons of shops and restaurants. Then you have to find somewhere to park. You can park inside the park, but it gets crowded. We decided to pay an extra 10 dollars and have the car parked at the movie theater. If you ever go to Zion I recommend this.

We already decided which hike to do so we jumped on the shuttle and got going. We did Angel's Landing. It's a 4 hour 5 mile (roundtrip) hike and it's hard! On the paper it say strenuous and it was!

This was the start. It starts out really simple. A little hill, some sand, the river next to you piece of cake.

Then it starts going straight up and zig zagging and it hurt! See that brown trail that's what we already did and weren't even halfway done.

Taking a water break (many times) is necessary.

Then you get to this part. It's straight up zig-zag and is really hard. I think this is the hardest part of the whole hike.
Once you get up there though it's gorgeous and you still have .5 miles to go.

This is where the hike gets dangerous. If you don't like heights or rock climbing stop here. It's still and amazing view and workout and you won't be scared for your life. I love heights and rock climbing so this was my favorite part.
You have to climb to Angel's Landing using chains.

The climbing part looks like this. See that flat part?? That's the top. But this is the part with a 100 foot fall on either side.

Then after what seems like forever you finally make it to the top and you have to sit down!

We did it!!

Then you start to go back down and it's so much easier. You have to jog and some points because you may fall if you don't, but it goes so much faster, I didn't have to stop for water breaks and I didn't feel like passing out. (All those happened on the way up -maybe not the passing out, but I was tired)

A fun hike with friends!
Plus look at this view when we drove back into Vegas. Amazing!

Now I'm going to enjoy my first real day of Spring Break with massive amounts of pancakes.
See you back here for Show and Tell tomorrow.
