Weekend: Nascar Weekend 2017

Happy Spring! 

Even though it feels likes Summer in Vegas and we totally skipped Spring, it's my favorite season! 

I'm back after a long blog break. Between school, grad school and trying to figure out life for next year the blog went to the back burner. 

But I'm back and with a very fun post! 

Last weekend was Nascar weekend here in Vegas and we had a blast once again. Nick and I have gone every year we have been out here and last year started going with friends from school. which makes it ten times as fun! 

Get ready for tonnnnns of pictures! 

The view from the top of our friends trailer! They camp out in the parking lot all week so it's pretty much a party the whole weekend!

It was a beautiful day for the race, but so hot! 90s in March just crazy. 

We had pit road tickets for Friday and if you zoom in really close you can see some of us down there!

We were standing by the entrance of the pits after qualifying and got tons of pictures and autographs from the drivers! So cool for me. This was for sure the best part of the weekend! Here's Kyle Larson

And here comes Jr! (This is when  I started to literally shake!)

So close! He signed my shirt right after this. Funny story. I had no intention of getting his autograph so all I had was the shirt I was wearing, no hat, no car nothing so I just put my arm out there and boom he signed it. Sad part is I just brought that shirt and now can literally never wear it again. O well!

Here is my ticket after getting all the autographs! It was full and it can't even tell who signed where, but still very cool!

The race was fun. Like I said earlier it was super hot and everyone left me to go back to the camper. But I stuck it out and sat there the whole time. I was a lobster the next day, but o well! Jr finished 17th after a great day, and Martin Truex Jr won which is much better than others who could have! 

Plus there was a huge fight between Kyle Busch and Joey Logano on pit road after the race. We couldn't really see that from the seats, but washed it on the big screen! Pretty cool because that was in the news all week and we were there for it! 

So there you go! That's Nascar Weekend 2017. I can't wait until another race. They are literally so fun for me because I'm obsessed! Next year I hope Nick and I can come back to Vegas for race weekend!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday after Thanksgiving break.... 

Seriously though after traveling and traveling and more traveling I'm exhausted. I need another break before we do it again at Christmas. 

I'm not ready to go back to school yet, but I am ready for the Christmas season because it is my favorite! And I'm very ready for my kiddos at school to have even better because this little lady comes back tomorrow!

Welcome back Jolly! 

Ya'll I spent my one day at home today watching this whole thing and I don't know how I feel. I love Gilmore Girls. I love Rory. I love Logan. But I just don't know how I felt about this year in the life. It felt rushed. It felt weird. I don't know. And those LAST FOUR WORDS! Ahhhh. I need more. 

We didn't really go shopping on Black Friday, but just walked around downtown Easton and looked at the Christmas decorations! They had this beautiful tree and...

this amazing Christmas village with OSU Vs. Mich. helmets on the train for the game! And what a game it was!! Thank goodness the Buckeyes won because I would have never heard the end of it and now Nick lost our bet! Just wait for it!

We met these cute puppies and Nick's house this week and I wanted to keep this one so bad. Look at that face!

Weekend Recap

I've been MIA for a couple weeks because its been a crazy couple weeks and I needed to play catch up. 

The last couple of weeks have been jam-packed so here's a little recap for what's been going on. 

I went home two weekends ago for Homecoming and loved every minute of my short weekend home. 

Except for my delayed flight. What do you do during delays? I watch Netflix!

Once I got there, my favorite coffee was a must! 

And cuddles from my puppy!

Nights out with my best friends was just what I needed! 

Plus seeing this girl was a MAJOR highlight from the weekend. I've missed my little so much! 

Anna and Zach not being in Vegas anymore has been hard, so seeing them was amazing! 

We played a lot of silly pranks on each other and took way too many crazy pictures. Get the 6 of us together and its a great time!

I had a fabulous weekend home and Nick and I are already counting down till Thanksgiving! 

Last weekend Nick and I bought a car! What an exciting and frustrating day. Sitting in the dealership forever is not my idea of a good time, but driving away in a new car is!

And on Friday we had our harvest festival at school and look at this cute pumpkin one of my students last year made for the pumpkin carving contest! Amazing! 

Whewwww! Throw in football, Master's classes, grading and so much more in there and that catches us all up!
