Show and Tell Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! 

Today I'm linking up with Andrea to "Show and Tell" a day in my life. 

I love reading blogger's day in the life posts. I think it's so exciting to get a glimpse into the life of someone I read about all the time, but haven't actually met. It makes me feel like I know them. That being said I've wanted to do these posts for myself, but I always forget to take the pictures. I start out strong then end badly. So for now I'll show you what I've got and maybe try this again in a couple weeks. 

Well here goes nothing...

My alarm goes off at 5:43am (It's really 5:33... I just give myself 10 mins of leeway because I am NOT a morning person. Anyone else do this?)

After my shower, I sit on my couch and get warm again while my hair air drys a little. I don't like to blow dry it while its soaking wet because I want my hair to get undamaged (sp?) from the use of my straightener. 

At this time I usually read my blogs for the day, post to my own blogs, or watch the Today show. Today I read blogs. 

Then I get ready and leave the house no later than 7:20am. Today I left at 7:10am! Win for a Monday morning!! 

Being early called for a trip to Starbucks! Grande White Mocha please! 

I got to my desk around 8am after stopping and talking to teachers, picking up my iPads to use for the day and putting my lunch away. 

I used my little bit of free time this morning to post a short Weekend Recap blog. Then got set up for the day and had morning duty. 

After the kiddos came in, had breakfast and we did our morning routine, we played a review game to study for our test tomorrow on the American Revolution (in 1st grade! and I might add they are awesome in it). If you are a teacher a need a fun game and have access to technology, even phones, go to Kahoot.it.com. So fun! Look at the crazy names they come up with. 

So we played, had center time, the kiddos went to P.E and I went to the copy room. Nothing exciting about that. I have to say the copy room is my most unfavorite part about being a teacher. Can I have a copy machine in my room please?! 

At 12:10 I have lunch with my normal people. 

Then we go through the rest of our day. Writing, math and science. See this is where the pictures comes to a halt until I remembered after I got home and after we picked up dinner. 

I usually leave school around 3:45 and get home at 4ish. Today Nick and I decided we didn't want to cook (laziness I know!) so we got Canes, Nick's favorite!

We watched a little TV, I did a load of laundry then Nick went to sleep. 

Nick works at 3am so getting up at 2am has him going to sleep early. I don't mind it too much because it gives me time to get stuff done at night without feeling guilty about having my nose in a computer or cleaning. Here's what time he went to sleep tonight. 

After that I played with this girl.

 

Finally got my old Kindle to work! It hasn't been connecting to the internet for the past two months. I need that come pool season!

I practiced my Spanish. I'm so far I know......

And am now writing this and watching Dancing with the Stars! 

That's about my day. I'll finish up some things and hit the books by 10:30 at the latest and do it all over agin tomorrow. 

I'm going to try to get better at these day in the life things. Maybe.....
