Happy Friday!
As I'm writing this I'm on my way home from Columbus, Ohio from a long weekend spent with my mom.
It was so nice to be with my mom for her birthday. The time just went too fast.
I hate living far away and can't wait till I can be closer to be with her whenever I want. I don't think I'm closer to anyone else like I am with my momma. Love her to pieces.
She hates taking pictures so here's us when I was 5!
Anyways my Friday Favorites is all about my favorite things I got to do and have while in Columbus this past week!
For all of you that don't know, I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and recently moved to Vegas for a teaching job. While I love my job I miss home more than ever so it was a treat to be home this weekend.
Here's Columbis from the airplane. I love coming into this airport. It's my favorite.
When my mom picked me up at 5am on Saturday (boo red eye flights) she had my favorite coffee and doughnuts ready for me. If you haven't had Tim Hortons, cafe mocha with honey dip doughnuts you have to try them soon. Whenever I'm home I have to get them! Delicious.
We went and got our haircuts and then went shopping for new phones. I should have taken a before and after picture of her hair because it was gorgeous. My mom has really thick hair and I have thin hair and I wish I had her thickness all the time.
But when we went to get our phones I kept my iPhone and got this case. It's for sure one of my new favorites. It keeps my phone protected and always has a charge. I highly recommend it if you're always on the go like I am.
That night she made me my favorite home cooked meal. Chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes. YUM. I try to make this myself, it just isn't the same.
We visited my brother in BGSU on Sunday. I love going back to my alma mater. It reminds me of all those fun college days. Plus so much is changing and makes me feel old. We went to my and many others favorite pizza place in BG, Pollyeyes and of course I had to get their famous breadsticks. Delicious and worth every calorie.
While I was gone I got these updates from Nick back home. They were my favorite.
Looks at that face. I think she missed her momma.
Every night my mom and I stayed up late and talked, watched movies and read. It was most definitely my favorite part of the whole trip. Quality time with my momma and this little guy.
Right before I went through security at the airport we stopped and had lunch at my all time favorite restaurant and got my favorite soup. There are no Max and Ermas in Vegas so I have to get my fix in while I'm home.
Last but not least, I linked up with my favorite blog this week and answered her What's Up Wednesday questions. Read that here.
That's all for now. I'm getting back to the swing of things and ready to enjoy a weekend with my little family.
Have a great weekend everyone!
